The BMW Group has announced that the combined sales of BMW and Mini brand vehicles in the US decreased 35.9% to 21,626 units in December 2008, compared to 33,761 units in December 2007.
In 2008, the company has reported sales of 303,190 vehicles, a decrease of 9.7%, compared to 335,840 vehicles in 2007.
The sales of BMW brand vehicles decreased 40.2% to 18,060 vehicles in December 2008, compared to 30,199 vehicles in the same period of 2007. In 2008, BMW brand sales decreased 15.2% to 249,113 vehicles, compared to 293,795 vehicles in 2007.

Mini USA has reported sales of 3,566 units, up 0.1%, compared to 3,562 units in December 2007. In 2008, the division reported sales of 54,077 units, an increase of 28.6%, compared to the 42,045 units in 2007.
